Important: to add blacklists to nanny, follow this procedure:
- download nanny.nbl file
- go to "System-Administration-Blacklists" menu
- click on "import" and select the nanny.nbl file
- select the blacklist entry and click on "edit", then select which categories you want to block

Assalamu alaykum,

Last week I was in France for a job mission and I profited of my being there to contact brother Mehdi (the admin of Sabily project) in direct for the first time from 4 years (the date on which I have known Mehdi, just a couple of weeks after he started Sabily project).
It was a pleasure to see him and to talk to him in real world (not in virtual world as we do always), also it was a pleasure to see his family especially his very nice son "Elyess" :)
I was very busy so I stayed with them only 15 minutes ^^" we didn't discussed a lot of subjects, just the deal was around family, Tunisian revolution, my travel to France..but we didn't left the occasion without talking about Sabily :D in this subject we talked about the idea of building a foundation around Sabily project..an international organisation that support and manage Sabily project in a professional manner! we did not developed the idea because the time was very short, also it need a lot of reflexion about objectives, roadmap, and especially sponsoring! we decide to continue the discussion online :)
I am not sure..but most probably that I will have another travel to Egypt in the next few weeks insha'Allah and so I can see brother Ahmed Almahmoudi and other brothers from Egypt :) I am not sure for the moment about that..but I hope it happen insha'Allah :D

The Sabily team received today a message from Mark Shuttleworth, kindly allowing us to use the Ubuntu trademark:
"[...] Canonical is happy for you to use the Ubuntu trademark as part of the phrase "Ubuntu Muslim Remix", or "Ubuntu Islamic Remix", and if you wish to prefix that with Sabily that's fine too!
If you do use the name Ubuntu, we would ask that you follow the Ubuntu Code of Conduct in your community too. [...]"

The Sabily Team is proud to announce the release of the Sabily Sharing Services website: http://share.sabily.org

This new website provides file sharing services; you can host temporarily private files to share with your friends, up to 100MB, with automatic antivirus scanning! So, people who will receive your download links will know if the files are safe or not.
Here is an example of a file considered as a virus (the file itself is safe, it's just for testing purpose): antivirus example
The next step will be to provide public files hosting, with rating & comments features, search engine, moderation (eg, to disallow haram pictures) etc., InshaAllah.

Sabily pages on wikipedia need updates + translation into other languages

Hereafter English Sabily page on wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sabily and via it you can access other languages pages.
As you can see it need updates (logo, brand, contents, links...), other languages pages are poor in term of content they should been ameliorated, also we need to improve them by new translation into other languages (even a part of the page not the whole contents).
Please participate in this effort, that don't need any programming skills, just a redaction skills ;)

The Sabily team is proud to announce the release of Sabily 9.10, codename "Gaza". Sabily is the new name of Ubuntu Muslim Edition, the Operating System designed by and for Muslims (but non-Muslims are very welcome to use it too ).
Sabily 9.10 is available as a Live DVD (so you can test it without installing anything on your computer), with 2 versions:

Small version (1 GB): contains the main Sabily packages (artwork, islamic applications) and Arabic support
Full version (2.8 GB): same as above plus multimedia, education and miscellaneous packages, besides offline Quran recitations provided by www.versebyversequran.com: Muhammad Siddeeq al-Minshawi, Huzify, Sa’ad al-Ghamadi and Mishary Rashed Alafasy
Note: the offline recitations are useful if you are not connected to the Internet (all Sabily versions provide online recitations)
